Our History
Started as Rainey’s Gulfpride service in September 1955 by Lee Rainey. The business won several awards from Gulf Oil Corp. for service excellence. In 1967, it was taken over by Lee’s son Bill after Lee died following a brief illness. Bill continued in the business when his two sons, Jim and Joe entered the business. Due to the large volume of repair business, a second location was opened just up the street. Gulf oil sold out to BP oil and later when BP closed it's service stations, Rainey’s became Rainey’s Automotive at it’s present location. Bill Rainey passed away in 2011 and Rainey’s Automotive is now owned by Jim Rainey and his wife Tonia with their son Thomas working in the business.
